Angie Kunnath is an award-winning entrepreneur and she now leads multiple physiotherapy clinics in the GTA with a mission to provide personalized care plans that deliver better outcomes for every patient.
Angie’s passion for personalized care stems from her own rehabilitation experience. In her late 20s, she underwent ACL repair and surgery for a Lisfranc injury—a combination that profoundly impacted her ability to care for her children and re-enter the workforce. Despite a successful surgery, Angie faced a lengthy and frustrating recovery, which she attributes to a one-size-fits-all rehabilitation plan. Determined to bring change, she envisioned a patient-centred approach focused on individual needs and tailored care.
Angie’s passion for improving lives extends beyond her personal experience. After running a successful senior care organization for over a decade, she is committed to bringing her expertise and compassion to help people whose quality of life has been impacted by age-related and neurodegenerative conditions. Although she is not a therapist or a clinician, Angie is driven by a desire to serve, transforming lives one patient at a time.
After experiencing a severe case of subscapularis tendinopathy (shoulder pain) due to trauma, Matt faced significant challenges within the Ontario public and private healthcare systems. The lack of personalized care led to a prolonged healing process that deeply impacted his professional and personal life. However, through a combination of the right therapeutic approach, skilled therapists, and consistent effort, Matt eventually found long-term relief (without pharmaceutical medications). This transformative experience inspired him to enter the rehabilitation industry, with a mission to deliver more individualized and proactive treatments—providing a concierge-level experience to patients.
Matt’s passion for healthcare runs even deeper, sparked by his family’s experience caring for his terminally ill grandmother. Witnessing her journey inspired him to create innovative programs tailored for seniors living with degenerative conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and more. His goal is to empower seniors to live vital, healthy, and dignified lives, regardless of their health challenges.
Matt Vijayan is dedicated to exploring solutions that help people stay active, live well, and enjoy longer, healthier lives.
